I’m writing today from Melbourne airport. I’m starting my journey to Tanzania to be a participant with Homeopathy For Health in Africa. I have never been to Africa so this is super exciting and to be able to combine the travel adventure with homeopathy is amazing. I will spend 2 weeks with HHA in their Professional Development Program which I imagine will be a fantastic learning experience. I will also spend sometime sight seeing, hoping to see some iconic African animals and relax in Zanzibar.
Homeopathy For Health in Africa is a charitable organization set up by Camila and Jeremy Sherr who originally went to Africa so see if they could make a difference with AIDS patients. They found their initial 6 month experience so rewarding they are still there 12 years on. If you want to donate to a charity that uses your money for purpose and not loosing it in layers of admin, this is one to consider.
I have read various stories over the years of the experience of homeopaths visiting different parts of Africa. The consensus appears to be that it is easier to practice homeopathy on this population as there are generally, less layers of suppression than in the West.
It is difficult in mainstream western society to meet a person who has not had a medical condition suppressed by pharmaceutical medicines. These drugs imprint additional layers of disease on the organism making people more difficult to treat. I touch on this in my articles here and here
The journey to get to Tanzania from Australia appears quite arduous. It will take me 2 days to get there and the journey home may well stretch into the third day. As a result, I am making the most of the journey to spend a full month on the ground in Africa. I start this adventure with 4 days on the beach in Zanzibar, the first holiday for no other reason but to have a holiday in over 20 years.
Have a great time!
It looks like you have a great team there in Moshi, thanks for doing this :) I find lots of ancient knowledge here about dawa (medicine) and they are constantly pointing out weeds, trees, or shrubs that have medicinal value.
