Comradery of my stay with HHA
One of the best aspects of my stay with HHA was the other women I shared house with during my stay.
I shared with 3 other women, Chana, Lisa and Ruchi. We came from vastly different backgrounds and countries. Luckily we all got on with each other really well and it was fantastic to be able to chat about our homeopathy journeys together, everyday. Accommodation was provided in Hahnemann House. But we are the last residents to stay here as HHA will let go of the lease now as the cost of maintenance is getting too much.
Our unique abilities were perfectly matched. Ruchi made the most amazing Indian food out of the simplest ingredients and the stash of spices she had brought with her from England. Chana was an absolute wiz at creating salads, I think the secret is to cut the vegetables really small and with much love. Lisa prepared fruit platters and I cooked frittatas for breakfast. A little fresh food stall at the corner of the street provided all our fresh food requirements.
In fact we raved so much about Ruchi’s cooking we ended up providing dinner for the whole group one night. It was lovely to all be together.
On the middle weekend of our two week program, we did a few sight seeing trips.
On the Saturday I went to the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro with Ruchi and Lisa. We “hiked” really a short walk to a beautiful waterfall.
We roasted coffee
And swam in an oasis pool. It was called the “hot springs” but it wasn’t really hot.
On Sunday, I joined Lisa and Chana for a day trip to Arusha National Park.
It was a wonderful experience for all of us.
Sounds do good. Reminds me of trips I used to make, years ago. The mostly female company was very supportive.
